Sacramento <-> Palo Alto is more like ~120 miles each way. Our air quality was horrible last week until Friday when we started feeling the Delta Breeze. I went outside at lunchtime today, and I could breathe! The worst of the fires includes the Butte County fires north of here near the town of Paradise. The change in weather starting last Friday has reduced the fire danger considerably. The Butte County fires are still burning but the emergency evacuation order for the area has been cancelled and Paradise residents are free to return to their homes.
