French privacy laws are some of the strictest in the world, and it is  
illegal to publish a picture of anyone who is not a celebrity,  
regardless of whether the picture was taken in a public place and  
regardless of whether or not the use of the image is commercial. So  
technically, the pics I showed are illegal under French law (or  
rather, the fact that I put them on the web is illegal).
