When I convert Tiffs, they end up much larger, but seem to go from 8 bit to 16 bit files. Can someone explain whats happening? Besides, if you select the option "convert to DNG and import" in Lightroom, it does not actually convert TIFF files--all it does is make a copy in the directory where it keeps its DNG files.
