I agree but with landscape stuff nowadays; (I have at least one zoom lens
which doesn't not work with filters already) I'd just assume using the zoom
to figure out the shot. Then put the fixed lens on;
A tripod sure facilitates this.
That's why using a tripod is such an enabling experience; freeing
experience.
And all the best landscape stuff I've done I've done with a tripod...
Makes you want to try things.

Primes for my more serious stuff.
