OH!  Crop to me means cropping the photo.  ;-)
Yes, the crop growing is corn!  The barns in the background are for 
tobacco but they've been abandoned for many years and families are 
living in them - talk about an oven!!  Tobacco gave way to corn when 
the price of corn went up.  The newspaper said that 70% of the corn 
crop was lost because of flooding.  There is some squash planted in 
with the corn and we ate squash blossoms.  I have some photos of those later.
