Peter,

I assumed the dark patch was a shadow cast by a passing cloud. The  
sky looks full of them.

I like both photos but like the 2nd a little better. It shows how the  
Noctilux takes wonderful photos in normal light as well as those  
taken in available darkness.

Every photo is a classic.
