Early versions of the 50mm Summicron-R use E44 or Series VI filters. Front cap # 14163 fits over reversed lens hood #12564. Does this lens have a built-in hood? The s/n makes me think it's an E55 lens. If so and if the 55mm cap doesn't fit I suspect the lens has a Series VII retaining ring #14225 in the filter threads.
