Doug, in my opinion the colour adjustment has made it more pleasing. I can't
comment on accuracy. The ruffled feathers don't bother me personally. I
hadn't thought that they indicate human handling. I like what they add,
being some of the delicacy of the downier under feathers.
Since the purpose of your crop is to remove the rumpled parts, I guess you
aren't asking about composition??

I've tweaked the colors a bit and come up with a couple of alternate crops.
I'd appreciate the opinions of this learned group about the various crops:

BTW, these crops are about 25% of the original file.  Gotta love the detail
