perhaps
photo journalism
is too large a brush

in the days of Life and Look
we expected a high level
of visual 'truth' on the cover
as well as between the covers

since the demise of those
(and others of their ilk)
magazine covers have
become editorial illustrations
with little resemblance to
factual, visual reporting

Fond regards,
George
