The mode for when you, as the aficionado of all things good and superb, have purchased your Leica M8.2 from a recognized Leica Dealer, with 6 lenses ( including putting on order the new Nocti, 21 ASPH Lux, and 50 ASPH Lux), and wish to use your camera without thought of numbers, filters, settings, speeds F-whatevers, ISA's ( or is it ASO's?), and all other things technical..... to diminish your utter joy in owning, and especially showing off your new body jewelry, with price tag attached, of course...... He is told that this Leica will shoot better pictures than a Nikon D40.....or a Canon IS1000. What happened to their installed base, that still may use a Light Meter, uses pale blue-green filters, understand Guide Numbers, may have a darkroom ( what is a darkroom you ask? A place to run PhotoShop, of course)? We are here, and we may shut off the "S" mode......
