I figured since it's under warranty and going in for an upgrade, a little 
delicate banging couldn't hurt. And it apparently didn't.

Bob -  I use a 135 often so I don't think that is it.  Something must 
be stuck.  I'd keep messing with the lever to see if you can get it 
unstuck.  Have you had it in a humid or dusty place?   I'd suggest 
banging it on your hand several times but other people might have a 
heart attack at that suggestion!
