I've used the 50mm and 75mm Zeiss on the Nikon. Sharp images, focus is 
smooth but longer barrel? to move compared to a Nikkor lens.

Are they sharper than the Nikkor versions(85mm instead of 75mm)? Maybe, but 
I'm usually using open or close to wide open apertures so I don't get to 
test real sharpness that much. I'm more concerned on how easy it is to 
focus.

I don't have any Canon gear to test Frank.

Oh, and of course Jeff has this 50mm!
