And that's fine for you Jayanand. I get it.
The camera's not worth the price for you.
One person's design error = another person's delight.
I love the IR availability and the fine detail obtained without the  
on sensor filters.
Just two different users with two different points of view.
I don't state my love affair with the M8 as any sort of defense;
simply how I feel about the camera.

It's not a perfect camera.
But for me it comes damn close - for me and how I like to work.

As far as longevity - we'll have to see - time will tell.

Absolutely no reason for "fond hope" on this low cost M;
as I've heard no rumor to that affect (or is it effect?).
Though I'd welcome it as much as you;
if the same image quality
were delivered
by the less expensive model.

I have no reason to believe
that Leica is going away.

Perhaps if the S2 totally tanks?
Who knows?

Enjoy your photography

you choose to use.
