Vick is right, there is a small chance that the contacts on the back door or 
the contacts under the shutter speed dial are dirty and might be restored 
with some careful use and attention.? Whatever you do, don't try to clean 
them with a pencil eraser.? They're very abrasive.? Working the shutter 
speed dial sometimes will clean up contacts that have impaired 
conductivity.? In the end, though, don't be surprised if it needs a new 
board.

First, check the back door connections. ?With film the back door will have 
to "push harder". ?Without film, the back door electrical connections are 
firmer. 

The back door has the ASA connections and must make solid electrical 
contact.
