Subject: [Leica] DXO sensor testsd are good

The DXO test results that are posted are very usefull. They do do show
what one company can do with similar sensors (nikon D3x vs Sony A900)
it is expensive for Nikon to do what they do.

But the good news comes when WE reap DXOs hard work - try the DXO
software for Raw conversion as it is fantastic when using their
system. Lasersoft has DCS Studio Pro that was made for DNG RAW
conversion, amd it hand in hand integrates with their scanning
software (for example, one can calibrate his/her scanner by scanning a
color checker card, printing out thr resulys and RE- Scanning the
print; this generates an ICC Profile that is VERY good (hope a
transparency way comes soon!)
Point is-- try some new Raw converters! These guys make the DXO
profiles for a purpose; to make better Raw software.

Thanks,
Ed
