Subject: [Leica] more audiophilia

You guys need to raise your sights a little:

http://elitechoice.org/2007/10/13/goldmunds-presents-worlds-most-expensive-t
urntable-for-300000/

In my "audiophile" phase I did own a Goldmund table and arm, moving coil
cartridges, tube pre-pre, pre and amps, speaker cables bigger than garden
hoses etc. I noticed that as my knowledge of the works grew, the gear
became less important -- not sure why (I am one of the lucky ones not to
have suffered any significant hearing loss with age).
