I always used 75watt bulbs in my Focomat 1c's. The 150watt heats up allot. 
Plus I would put Ilford Multigrade filters on the top of the condenser. 
Still have the 2 in my house, though not in a darkroom. One has the Leitz 
50mm on it while the other has a Nikkor 50mm. Both lenses work great. Maybe 
it's already been brought up but you will want a Anti-Newton ring to put on 
the condensor. those tend to be the hard ones to find if you don't have one 
already. Just checked on both my condensors are pretty clean even though 
they have not seen work for 3 1/2 yrs.
