If Leica takes this route, which would be the simplest for them, I
think David Lladro
over at Leitax will be very busy turning out R>N bayonets. I know I am
going to
convert all my R lenses to N mount and use them on my D700 while
awaiting
developments. I doubt very much if I will ever buy a new R outfit if
the compatibility
of old R lenses is no better than fitting R lenses with Nikon mounts
on Nikons (i.e. no
auto diaphram).
Cheers
Howard.
