49mm works; 46's fall out.

All 35/1.4 pre-aspherics can take the 12504 hood which accepts Series 
VII filters; early lenses can also accept E41 filters.

Series VII is very close to 49mm in diameter, so you can usually put 
reversed 49mm filters in the 12504 hood.
