Tina,
You may want?to check out Photomatix. Digital Outback?Photo has some pretty 
good tutorials, but I find the default settings?give pretty good results 
and?the controls are intuitive.
Seems that Lucis is a different kind of blending than Adobe or Photomatix.

Lucis Pro? https://www.lucispro.com/

You can vary how much you apply the filter and I pushed it pretty far 
on that one.? Just experimenting!
