Phil,

Check the junk boxes of old camera stores. Cheap 35 finders used to  
be very common and were usually sold with afocal wide angle lens  
attachments. Canon used to package a good one with the 35 mm Serenar  
lens. No need to pay more than $10 to $15. Of course the best one is  
the Leica 35 mm Sports Finder but that costs big bucks.
