Hi Luggers,
The other night we took the Lantau ferry into Central for dinner with
a friend from London.
The ferry was slow and late because of fog. When we stepped off the
ferry we thought we had been
transported Brigadoon style to another time and place. The skirl of
the bag pipes drew us down
the foggy pier to the Star ferry entrance and there in the night was a
young Chinese piper playing the pipes for
the Celtic Society. Wonderful! The magic moment was recorded by 100's
of tourists. Why the Hong Kong Tourist Association
doesn't play on this amalgam of East and West is beyond me!
