Thanks, Lluis.  Yes, women are allowed in Mosques provided they abide 
by the rules.  I had to wear a veil that covered me from head to 
foot.  I had to tell them that I had a bath that morning and that I 
was not having my menstrual period.  In a normal Mosque service, the 
women are separated from the men and secured behind a pierced 
wall.  This was not during prayers but during the school for children 
held at the mosque.
