Not old, VENERABLE!

One thing I noted in the images--most of the men were in coats and ties.
That was probably the last time in America that a major public amusement
attracted well-dressed crowds.

I'll post another half-dozen or so early this evening.  I'd forgotten  
about that giant road-building machine:  trees and dirt in, three  
lanes of asphalt out.  GM was sure thinking big in those days.  "...  
the times they are a' changin," some were singing way back then.   
Guess GM wasn't listening.
