Hi Geoff, I prefer the M8 too. The G1 was a bit of an impulse. I have  
only played with the 50mm f1 on it so it was a waste of money really.  
I use the M8 most and Nikon D300 second (for birds) where the smaller  
sensor is a big advantage.
