Objet : [Leica] Postcards from Detroit
As a most-time lurker, I know there are quite a few LUGers who are also car
enthusiasts. Following a discussion with Dr. Ted regarding *Real
Photographers Shoot Black and White*, he suggested a shout out to the group
on my book about the Formula One races through the streets of Detroit back
in the 1980s. The book was published by Bull Publishing, a respected
motorsports book publishing house, and the quality of photo reproduction is
excellent. All photos in the book are black and white, and a few were shot
with an M4P and 35 Summicron. The early years, 1982 to '85, were shot in
Tri-X while the last few years were shot on color neg film. All color negs
were printed in black and white. It shows the city in quite a different
light from the recent Magnum series on the city...but it was more than 20
years ago, and there was considerably more hope in the city then.

Here's a link to the publisher's site:

If anyone would like an autographed copy, send me a note.
