Tina I think from your previous conversations that your black snakes are
rather less lethal than ours (unless you're a chicken of course).
However are you sure it was eating eggs? Maybe it has baby Aliens inside?
Now that's a scary thought for you ;-)
In the hen house, no-one can hear you scream!
Incidentally my wife had a similar farm experience as a young girl, except
that the (lethal) snake was standing up to her own height facing her, until
mum came to the rescue with a shotgun.
