I still have my old f2.8 Elmar, mostly for nostalgia - see how I 
traded for it in the 60's at:

It always seemed a bit too soft compared to my other Leica M lenses.
I much prefer my Summicron Dual Range - extremely sharp even wide 
open, though I don't know how it compares to the collapsible 
screw-mount version.
