Hi Nathan,

I have the last firmware on my M8 and I didn't saw what you say...,
yes, normally with uncoded lenses is shown as f1, why this one show
f3,5?...

Maybe is due to the adapter, I have two Zeiss rangefinder Sonnar Opton
F1,5/50mm and a Sonnar Jena 2/85mm to fit Contax old rangefinder
cameras. I've bought an special adapter made by Amedeo Muscelli, this
adapter allow to use the rangefinder contax lenses on a Leica M.

My adapter is very similar to e.bay item No. 130318370006:

http://cgi.ebay.es/Nikon-RF-lens-to-Leica-M3-M4-M6-M8-adapter-ring_W0QQitemZ130318370006QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCamera_Lenses?hash=item1e579484d6&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12%7C66%3A2%7C39%3A1%7C72%3A1315%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

The adapter is very well manufactured and it has the 6 bit (not
painted) only the holes, maybe if I paint them I can have all the
information..., I don't know, I should try it.

What I've saw after your message it is still more rare: The EXIF data
on the DNG files is always Aperture f1, once I've processed and
converted to Tiff it appears the values 3,5, 4, 5 ... various...I
really don't know...??

Saludos cordiales
Lluis
