Subject: [Leica] What happened to Ebay?

eBay has shifted their marketing strategy in recent years to larger,
high-volume sellers who offer items for sale at fixed prices.

The real question is whether the high, fixed-priced stuff actually sells.

I still find the best deals are on the LUG's Friday FS posts--and I'd be far
more inclined to trust a fellow LUGger than an anonymous store halfway
around the world.

Ebay used to be a good place to pick up used Leica gear at reasonable
prices. . It was fun! Also a good place to sell . Now most Leica items are
listed at very high "buy it now" prices from "power seller" big
dealers",mostly located in Hongkong , Japan or Los Angeles. It's hard to
find anything interesting up for auction.. What happened?
