Subject: [Leica] IMG: Shorebirds

Shorebirds are returning to California from a summer in the north.  The
first of these is a Least Sandpiper, a tiny perpetual-motion creature
photographed at the Yolo Basin wildlife area west of Sacramento:

I visited the San Francisco bay yesterday morning, timing the trip to
coincide with high tide (birds close to shore) at sunrise (low light
angle).  A Black-bellied Plover in winter plumage:

hint: it's not a Short-billed Curlew.
