My Pradovits focus fine over the entire frame on slides.  I would check the 
slide condition, or is it possible the slides are in backwards?  Sort of 
sounds like the slide frames are not holding the slides tightly and you have 
way to much curvature to the film.  Do you have a Target slide to check 
against?  They are still available from Leica NJ for not too much, seems 
about $5 if memory is right.
