Everytime I tumble into love with a decent tie - you know the sort of one your mother would be proud to let you walk out with - some lonely glass of wine or forlorn splash of sauce wants to emblazon their eternal love upon it, leaving me with the hellish task of cleaning it or else consigning it to the bin.
