Confirm on Ebay.....neither lens is very rare.....

$1K or so...... No built in hood.  E43.  Early ones or later ones, almost
the same pricing.....
$1.3-1.5K with built in hood: E46

6 Bit coding :  The only version capable of being aftermarket or Leica
itself coded ( practically speaking) is the E46.

All have the same glass.
