[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]One of the things I like about the Mac is that when you get a new one it asks if it is replacing an old machine, and if you are it gives the opportunity to connect to the old machine and automatically transfer everything to the new one. Setup, passwords, software, everything. You just have to wait. No sinking feeling when you realise you forgot something. Also, being Unix, it tends -not- to get fat and dirty since the self maintenance works well. The machine I am using now is the 4th generation of transferred information and software and works fine. My work pc needs re-installing at least annually and is slow and crude after a while. I hate it. Great.
