Ric,

We have been through it all.  I played all of the woodwinds in HS, and my 
wife played the French horn.  Sons played oboe and saxophone.  We have heard 
the good and the bad. ;-)

I paid my college expenses by playing in a 15-pc dance band, but, by my 
senior year, the combos were coming on strong.  We could not compete on 
price, so I saw that engineering would pay better than the music business.
