Interesting comment Lluis.
I know that many believe that long lenses do some sort of disservice
to "street photography."
I do understand the tradition and the many good reasons for that view.

In this particular case
I drove into the park and saw the scene
the correct tool sat on the seat next to me.
I raised it and got off two frames
before that scene evaporated before my eyes.

To have reached for a short lens
and walked up to the father and son
would not have allowed this unobtrusive glimpse.

To me this was no different than capturing wildlife;
with respect and at a distance which does not disturb their natural
behavior.

We were the only 3 people in the park.
A much different situation
than working in the chaos of the street
at close range.

And I'm quite enjoying the perspective.
