George,
You can let it go if you learn to be content once you reach a certain
point of financial security, say a net worth that will allow you to do
around 75% of what you truly want to do. Then you switch roles on
investment, focus on capital security rather than chase returns, and
have fun from then on. The trick is to realise that more money will
not really add anything to your preferred lifestyle, so why break your
brains chasing it, putting up with the added stress of doing so?
