In the Kisatchi Hills near here the coyote have no natural predators and
thus have become nuisance animals.

Kathy has hit one on the Interstate, and narrowly missed another.  You often
see them standing around, unafraid of the highway traffic.

On the farms and homes of sparsely populated southern hills, it is not
advised to leave small pets outside unless you are with them.

Too bad they have an ugly coat and there are no good recipes for coyote
gumbo.  One truly mismanaged resource.
