Sissi on show at Schonbrun; superb view from the top of the park,
Art Nouvveau architecture downtown
Unterwaser buildings, so surprising
Museums; Klimmt and more

Beer, Schnitzel, Apfel Strudel, Gulasch too, etc...

I was there in the Summer time - HOT
A couple of friends were there at Christmas : FREEZING

Check on the weather and temps before you go

Oh yes nearly forgot, Baroque Churches are aplenty too in Austria.
A covered market, the Third Man's wheel on the Prater, etc

If you have time, Salzburg (Mozart's Birthplace), or even Bratislava  
(Slovaquia but closer) or best, Prague ...

And if you're going now; skiing is a gem?tlisch must. Try the  
Jagerwassersomething tea if you are cold
