Nathan,

it reminds me of some of the cloud effects in Spielberg movies like 
Raiders of the Lost Ark.

As far as rain is concerned, I suspect the cloud is ganging up with its 
mates so they can travel up the bay of Biscay and dump their rain on the 
UK.  There are some big lows on their way in tomorrow...
