I'm guessing the X1 an APS-2 format camera has a pixel size much bigger than
the 4/3s bodies its competing against as they are the same size or bigger.
Its a point and shoot.

The S2 is competing against both Hasselblad medium format cameras and the
24x36mm super cameras like the D3x and with a sensor size in between to two.
I'd assume that PIXEL PITCH size reflects this but I don't know for sure.
