That is true, the domestic cat is a very efficient and motivated killer.
They kill for fun, not just hunger. Most predators kill when hungry. My
grandfather's little grey cat has killed more then 6000 small animals, which
she used to pile up next to his house. There were always big piles of mouse
skeletons and rotting dead things. I wish I'd taken pics of some of them to
show how cruel she was. She once brought my grandpa the head of a
rattlesnake!
