you remind me how much I miss having the kid's games to go to.

re: color balance
I mostly manually set the color balance using K temperature.
if and when critical - by using a color temperature meter.
generally - by experience with conditions.
If I'm not achieving what I want with those methods
I use the manual set method with a white card I carry in the bag.
