And yes, its full official name is "Leica DG Macro Elmarit 45mm/f2.8 ASPH" 
and the closest focusing distance is 0.15m/0.5 ft.

You can limit the focusing range (with a slider on the lens) to 0.5m to 
infinity which speeds up the AF considerably. Very handy for general 
shooting.
