Dave Grossman was a specialist in teaching troops to kill, an unnatural 
act for most.   In wars where marksmanship was emphasized (WWII, Korea), 
soldiers would tend to hold off of targets at longer ranges.  It is said 
this led to the development of a higher volume of fire by troops (M-16, 
SAW etc.).  Now he lectures and writes on how video games are 
desensitizing kids to violence.
