Here's a picture I took tonight of my neighbour Brendan Lynch - a tough man
in his time and I wouldn't exclude now - he was a member of the famed
Roscommon 1943/1944 All-Ireland Gaelic Football winning teams. He first came
to attention when he won an All-Ireland junior medal in 1941. He's a retired
Garda (police) superintendent, but was widely known as a tough,
uncompromising player in Gaelic football. His playing days pic is also
shown.
