Subject: [Leica] Used M9 prices

I think generally the used prices for mint M9s have settled to ~$6700 level.
Anyway, my point is really simply that for the M9, there will be buyer's
remorse, due to its cost.

The situation is a bit different from d3X and the IDsMkXXX, I think, because
most of the buyers for those cameras are working pro. OTOH, most purchasers
of the M9 are enthusiastic amateurs, and the M9 is attracting a lot of
attention from non-RF users. Some of those will bolt - there is a reason why
SLR dethroned the RF back many years ago!

Of course you know that I am a M9 lover, but I am just saying general market
wise, the M9 will saturate its own market. If not this year, then may be in
2-3 years. When Leica releases the M10, then there will be another round of
the upgrade cycle...
