I think that Erwin Puts coined that name! It is somewhat confusing.
I confess that I ordered one on impulse, thinking that it would take many
months for enough stock to arrive here to get down to me on the Aussie
waiting list.
Enough arrived that I got delivery. I have a trip coming up where I want to
use it a lot. I never had the old model, only the Summicron, mainly due to
the reports of focus shift with the old design.

My sample is spot on wide open and I have seen no issues with focus shift
when stopping down a little. It's got the most modern well corrected
rendering that all of the new designs have. I like it a lot. I have to learn
to use the focal length more.

Cheers
Geoff
