Leo asks:
"Anyone on the lug doing 3d printing?

In a school woodworking class during the Jurassic era we were taught how to
make elaborate bowls and other structures by cutting out layers of plywood
or veneer and gluing them together in the proper sequence. When the glue
dried the surface was sanded smooth to get rid of the little ridges. By
gluing alternate rings of wood in walnut and maple you could make a bowl
with zebra stripes. Fancy stuff. Not 3d printing but the concept is the
same.
